This year for Mother's Day, I got (yes, early) the KnitPicks Harmony Interchangeable needles that I've wanted for years!

Now this picture doesn't quite do them justice, so let's take a closer look shall we?
Pauly says they look like Hippy Tie-Dye, but psssh, whatever lol. I love them and can't wait to start knitting on them! I'll let you know what I think!

As you may or may not remember I have entered the Soper Creek Yarn Challenge twice.
The first entry was a rainbow cowl. Which it appears I never showed you. So here it is.
The second year was fair isle mittens. (Were fair isle mittens?)

This year it's a hexagon granny "square' scarf! Like the fair isle mitts last year, it's not my usual style but fun all the same!

Hello darlings! I hope your weekend is treating you well thus far.
Yesterday as I was spinning I had an idea for my next yarn and ran to the studio to make the batts.
I present to you Kitchen Sink Pink:

Why kitchen sink? Because this baby has tons of stuff in it! It's made of merino, bamboo, mohair, 2 different shades of pink icicle and silk noil. The silk noil and mohair add some fun texture and I can't wait to see how it spins up!

A few weeks ago I saw this on the front page of Etsy by I'm Your Present. I simply HAD to have it. When it arrived, it was nicely packaged and she included candy. Who doesn't love candy?
My son especially loves this ring. The first day I wore it he kept kissing and hugging it. I felt like the Godfather lol.

With my income tax refund (okay, Paul's income tax refund) I got an Ashford drum carder and jumbo flyer for my spinning wheel. What great purchases those were! The first batt I made on my carder was this:

It's a mix of polworth from Crafty Puppy Lover, milk fibre from Wabi Sabi and a red firestar from Wind Rose Studio.
I spun it and plied it on my fancy new flyer and now I have this totally awesome, fun yarn!



Now I get to figure out what I'm going to make with this because I love it too much to sell.
