297 - Globe Trotting

So as you may or may not know by now, my husband travels around the world on business. He’s been all over the world; Australia, London, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Germany and in the next month will be on his way to Brazil and Mexico.

Before Paul became a globe trotter, I must admit I was pretty naive about traveling. I honestly believed that you could just buy a plane ticket and go wherever you wanted. Well, I was wrong. What we didn’t know is that to even to just *enter* some countries, you have to have a Visa.

This can be a huge hassle especially when you need your passport to apply for a visa AND to travel. Sometimes, these things run the risk of overlapping and you could be grounded.

I recently learned of this site called Global Visas. It’s this awesome site that gives you all the information you need about Visas, for work, travel or even immigrating! They even have immigration specialists who can fully assist you and help you avoid the headache. Who doesn’t want to avoid it? We all have busy lives and have better things to be doing.

So before you plan on moving, or traveling for work or pleasure, be sure to check out Global Visas! And for all you small business owners, and I know a lot of you read this site, they can even help you get all the information you need about moving your business abroad!

Happy Globe Trotting!

296 - Meet the Cast - Episode Three - Fredward

So I talk about my family on here but I’m not sure I’ve ever done proper introductions. I’m going to start with my fur babies and then the flesh and blood.

I've already told you about Cory and Elly.

Next up is Freddie.

So as I was checking the mail today my neighbour's door was open. Ash mentioned to him that he thought the turtle was cool (we were watching him and the cat this weekend while they were away) and James asked if we wanted him. Being the sucker that I am I totally said yes.

The neighbours have a pond in the backyard that he used to be in till it got chilly. My little Freddie didn't even have a name. James is just glad that he'll get more attention now.

Yes, yes, I know all about turtles and salmonella. But I promise to be a hand washing nazi after he's been held.

Elly has already started to sit and stare at him. That's gotta be awkward for Freddie.

293 - Zibbet

So I'm hearing more and more about Zibbet lately. They have a really awesome basic shop package and how can I resist free? That's too good of a deal to pass up! So now you can find Dame Named Redd Designs over on Zibbet. And there was much rejoicing!

292 - Friday Funny

Holy crap, it's Redd!

I've had the flu (again) for the last couple of weeks and Pauly's actually been home instead of living abroad in hotels so I've been scarce and I'm sorry my Redd-Heads.

291 - Lookie What I Can Do!

So as you may or may not remember, I took up spinning. The *only* problem with spinning on a spindle, is that you don't get very much end product. As a result I have many small balls of various spun wool with nothing to make.

Until yesterday! I found a pattern for a scarf that doesn't take much wool (well it takes all of whatever colour I choose but it's better than staying a ball right?), used super bulky weight and didn't seem like it would make me tear my hair out.

I present to you the scarf that I made from roving! I love the idea that I did this from fluff to scarf. What can I say? I rock!
