338 - Soper Creek Yarn Competition
So I finally got a chance to go to Soper Creek Yarn today. It's an awesome yarn shop in the heart of Bowmanville that's owned by a wonderful, friendly lady named Tina.
There was a basket that had bags of 5 balls of Mission Falls 1824 and a sheet of information with it.
For $5 you buy this bag and have a month to make something totally awesome with all of it. You can add yarn from your own stash but you must use all the colours that come in the kit.
I took one look at the kit and it told me that it wanted to be a rainbow scarflette.
I came home and went through my stash knowing exactly was I was looking for. Despite Mission Falls 1824 being Aran and Bernat Softee Chunky being chunky, they appear to be pretty much the same weight.
Paul thinks a scarflette is too boring for this contest, I think it's going to be awesome, besides, that's what the yarn told me it was going to be. I can't argue with yarn!
