For my final Nerd Wars project for February, the theme was Nerd Culture. We had to make something that could be found at a convention.
I present to you my Mog headband! Kupo!
I can't wait to see what March holds for Nerd Wars!
My Yoshi Mittens are all done!
For my next Nerd Wars Challenge, nebulas, I have spun this!
I blended black alpaca, blue, pink and purple merino and white firestar on my hackle and then spun it up. I love the way it looks and sparkles!
I started on my Cold Hands, Warm Hearts Challenge for Nerd Wars today.
I've decided to make child size Yoshi mitts! What kid wouldn't love dinosaur mittens?
Here's the first one so far!
So next up in Nerd Wars is Prime Numbers.
What better way to pay a nerdy tribute than with Prime Number Shitting Bear. (don't watch it too long, the bigger the number, the higher chance of your browser crashing)
So as you may or may not know, I'm participating in the first annual Nerd Wars over on Ravelry.
I'm on Team 1-Up. Our theme is, you guessed it, video games.
One of the catergories for February was Valentine's Day.
I made a Companion Cube from Portal.
I have a couple more projects in mind for the other catergories, and I will share them with you as I finish.
So yesterday I got a fun surprise in the mail. My mom had ordered me a 5 pound bag of assorted Perler beads. Not sure you can picture how big it is?
It's pretty big. Approx. 36,000 beads. All needing to be sorted. Ash helped for about 10 minutes and then told me he was done.
So I'm grooving to The Beatles Stereo USB Collection and sorting these. This is going to take weeks lol
Here is a super plaid collection from the CraftAnon Street Team!
Ash has been wanting a play kitchen for some time. My mom picked him up one on Boxing Day but hasn't driven up since on account of it being winter.
Well, my sister and her family went to Ottawa this weekend for Winterlude and brought it home.
Paul set it up when Ash was at school. When he got home, I waited in the play room to catch the moment of joy. I think it was worth it for sure:
